In a lot of ways, WWCT has come full circle. The brand of rock that we play now is technically called Adult Album Alternative or Triple A. AAA is a very music intensive format playing music that you won’t hear anywhere else, much like 106 was in the beginning. The current station also shares core artists from its past like the Beatles, Stones, U2, Springsteen, Zeppelin, and the Who. AAA stations are on the cutting edge of new music, often breaking bands before any other format. Dave Mathews Band, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Train, were all broken on AAA, and the amount of great new artists is amazing. With almost 50 years of incredible music and the ability to find tracks deep in each album, it’s not hard to believe that CT’s library is now over 4,000 songs strong.
